Visited today with my daughter and both of us had fish, chips and mushy peas. Food was great, staff were polite and friendly and the customer toilet upstairs was a welcome sight to my daughter lol. Im assuming it was the owner ( may be wrong), but the chap behind the counter was telling me other places to visit and showing me pictures on his phone. Overall it was a pleasant experience and will definitely be making this my go to place on future rides 👏🏼👏🏼- Meal type

Affordable and a suitably sized portion. Inside options yet able to partake in al fresco eating nestled in beautiful surroundings. I enjoyed the best fish and chips I've had in ages. Really reasonable for the price. (Almost polished off completely as this was so good and then it occurred to me that a photo might help compliment a favourable review.) Really lovely fish, like it was just pulled fresh from the waves!

With so many choices in Matlock, we stumbled across what is in my opinion the best by far. We had the medium fish, chips and side deal and the portions were outstanding. Absolutely stuffed. Great quality and the staff are lovely. If I lived here, I’d eat here every day

Tried this chippy for the first time on father's day and it was brilliant, the batter was crispy, the fishcake was the nicest I've had in a long time and the staff were lovely! 6 of us ate for under £50 too! We'll be back next time we're in Matlock Bath

No only the best fish and chips in Matlock but honestly the best I’ve ever had and that’s a fair amount. The fish is cooked to perfection still soft and fresh. A light batter but still crispy. And the chips are also cooked to perfection, great colour and slightly crispy on the outside.

Excellent fish and chips, some of the best we’ve had (partner is from south coast and reckons it beat Brighton and Hastings chippies hand down). And only £8.50 each. Staff were so friendly too. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic fish and chips for a really good price. Was worried quality might not be great due to the price, but pleased to say I was totally wrong. Both my wife and I had a lovely bit of fish, kids enjoyed theirs as well. Would definitely return.

After visiting The Heights of Abraham, we visited Matlock Bath for a diner. Taste of Waves served very delicious food. All my family was satisfied. Great place to try deep-fried plaice! Awesome customer service, very polite!
